Bible: We are reading through the book of Matthew
Memory Verse this week: "But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. Matthew 5:44
ART: Did you know one of the best known crafts of Norway is rosemailing, the art of "rose painting." In the 1700's rosemalers (men who painted rose designs ) traveled from home to home painting walls, ceilings, furniture and chests with their individual techniques and designs.

In music we learned that Edvard Grieg (1843-1907) is Norway's most famous composer. He wrote the music for Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt and many other compositions. We were off this week from our normal violin and piano lessons but are excited about starting back up on Monday!
FOREIGN LANGUAGE: Natalie is having fun learning Spanish with Rosetta Stone and we all are learning American Sign Language together. What we have learned so far: All our numbers through 20. The whole alphabet and now focusing on the 100 basic signs for everyday use.
TYPING: Dance Mat Typing So much fun!
All in all we had a great week after being off two weeks for Christmas break. I'm looking forward to next week! Also can't wait for tomorrow because it is Natalie's 1st basketball game of the season!
